At the Milwaukee Academy of Science, we know that character counts! We believe that our students’ social development is equally as important as academic achievement. At all grade levels, our students participate in a character education program called Character Counts!® that is based on ethical values called the Six Pillars of Character. They are:
In the elementary school, we prioritize building our students’ character and start or end our days with an energizing community meeting for grade level groups. At Nova Time, we focus on each pillar, revisit our mission and student creed, and celebrate moments of achievement in character growth and academic achievement.
Our Junior Academy and High School have a community breakfast to share current events, highlight positivity and character growth, as well as academic success.
